About the Event

Tricks and Treats is a Final Fantasy XIV community collaboration event themed around Halloween. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 25th starting at 9PM Eastern time. Tricks and Treats will include Twitch streamers, bard music, RP events, games and giveaways, along with gpose pictures, live art, Tarot and gamba games.There will be a Trick-or-Treat event going on from 9:30PM - 12:30AM followed by a "Witches Cauldron" jackpot event. Event games and details can be found further down this page, and the schedule of events can be found by checking the schedule.

Event Details

Player "tags" for the event:

"Yellow tag"
General staff helping with the event. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

"Green tag"
Staff who are hosting a game/activity in which you can win a mystery code or cursed glam item!

RP Tag
Any player participating in Role Play activities, anyone may use this tag!

Trick-or-Treat

The Trick-or-Treat event will be held from 9:30PM to 12:30AM Eastern time. This event will include mini games where plays can win "mystery prize" codes. These codes are entered into the code redeem to reveal either a "trick" (see witches cauldron) or a "treat", awarded as a prize within the game.

Witches Cauldron

The Witches Cauldron is a jackpot game influenced by players during the night. The prize pool starts off by awarding (3) players, splitting a total of 3,000,000 gil. The jackpot is set to be paid out during the event starting around 12:45AM.When a player reveals a "trick" during the Trick-or-Treat mystery code mechanic, they can choose to increase the number of players splitting the jackpot prize, or increase the prize pool by 100K-200K gil.

Cursed Glams

Players who collect an entire left side armor set of "cursed glams" can trade in their winning set for 1,000,000 gil. The cursed glam pieces will be awarded during the night from various games and activities. You will need to look and listen for a chance to win a piece of glam, and you may wind up needing to trade with other players to complete a set! There will be a total of (50) sets of glam available during the night!

Game Details

Games during the event will be hosted by various groups. Some games may have rules that differ from what you have played before. Any questions or concerns should be taken up with the host of the game/event activity.

Chocobo Racing

Players will be instructed the time and location to group up for a mount race. Top (3) finishers will receive prizes.

Players must start in designated spot
No mounts summoned before start
Players must hit all waypoints
Only Chocobo mounts allowed

Axe Throwing

Come get your anger out by throwing axes at portraits. You get 5 rolls and based on how you do depends on what prize you get.

5 Rolls, /random 20
If you roll over 15 three times you win some home cooked food.
If you roll over 15 five times you get a Trick or Treat code.

Bob-for-apples (and minions)

Players will approach the fountain and roll a /roll 100 party
Depending on the number that the player rolls will determine the prize they receive.
Everyone walks away with some sort of prize

The BOO in Booze

Sallantro Lime will serve you a series of BOOzy concoctions. To "succeed" in drinking them, you will have to roll over a certain amount in party chat with her.

Playing will earn you (1) pair of Sallsa Bowl Pantaloons for the Cursed Glams game.
Winning by succeeding at all (3) shots will get a Mystery Code.
Players can only play once during the event.
